Product Details
In solar hostel lighting systems, the solar panels are fixed on the roof of the hostel, which collects the energy from the sun. It is then converted into electrical energy and stored in batteries. The stored energy in the batteries is used for lighting the hostel at night. When the sun sets, the solar light switches ON automatically and burns for about 5 hours and turns OFF automatically at around midnight. A manual switch will be provided to run the lights for another 5 hours in case of emergency conditions. Approximately 8 to 12 hours of sunlight a day is enough to light the hostel during at night. Once the battery is fully charged, it can support up to 10 days when there is no sunshine. These lights are provided with overload, short circuit, reverse polarity and lightning protections.
